The message in this book would have to be loving your family. Bridget and her family went and are going through a lot of issues throughout their road trip, but just by communicating with each other and haveing each others back, they are able to get by their troubles. This book really teaches you about how any type of family can cope with their problems if they just stick together. And eventhough all the road you'll have your up's and down's, your family will always be there to help you and back you up with anything.
